FESTIVAL CHOIR PROJECT 2005
Concerts - March 4, 5 & 6, 2005
The Seven Last Words of Christ - Théodore Dubois
(Includes a concert lecture and introduction to the composer)
(NOTE: The 2005 festival Choir project is now completed. If you are interested in being a part of a future Festval Choir
project, check back in the Fall of 2005.)
We are very excited about this unique project. With the addition of more singers and instrumentalists we will be performing the much loved Seven Last Words of Christ by Théodore Dubois.
This time-honored work is almost never performed with full orchestra. Festival Choir members and audiences will experience the full orchestral colors from the original orchestration. What a thrill it will be to
perform this favorite classic. Join us for an unforgettable experience! (This performace will also include the Exultate Chamber Choir singing Johann Sebastian Bach's motet, Jesu, Priceless Treasure.)
Good choral singers are needed to join the professional chamber choir and orchestra of Exultate in an exciting project.
This is your chance to perform this marvelous works as well as create
a wonderful professional recording to be sold all over the world.
Your commitment is to attend six rehearsals, three concerts and one recording
session. Participant fee will be $25.00 which includes the rental fee for a choral score.
(This activity is made possible, in part, by a grant received from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council
with funds provided by the McNight Foundation and the Minnesota legislature.)
